SWIMMING POOL LEAK DETECTION

Swimming pools typically have three types of leaks:

PLUMBING LEAKS

Plumbing leaks are usually PVC pipe and/or fittings that break from:

  1. Tree roots

  2. Ground shifting (sometimes from poor drainage)

  3. Improper workmanship

  4. Materials used in construction

To accurately detect if/and where plumbing leaks exist, we pressure check the plumbing system in the pool and spa one section at a time.

If the test confirms a leak, we will pinpoint the location with our ultrasonic sound equipment.

STRUCTURAL LEAKS

Structural leaks are actual leaks from the vessel itself. Imagine your pool is a bucket and the bucket has a hole in it. Structural leaks are located with experience and dye.

EQUIPMENT LEAKS

Equipment leaks can easily be identified if pool equipment sits up high on a slab and does not have shrubs and overgrowth obstructing view. Pump seals, valves, and waste line systems are the most common equipment leaks.
